The sub-gauge craze is running hot, with more hunters choosing the reduced recoil, lighter weight, enhanced maneuverability, and the challenge of taking to the fields and marshes with small-bore shotguns. Weighing between 5.5 and 5.6 pounds (depending on barrel length) and fitted with a low-profile black carbon fiber barrel rib, Benelli’s SBE 3 BE.S.T. 28-gauge shotguns satisfy those performance parameters and are destined to dominate the sub-gauge scene.
Benelli’s field-proven BE.S.T. (Benelli Surface Treatment) is a hybrid Physical Vapor Deposition (PVD) and Plasma Enhanced Chemical Vapor Deposition (PECVD) coating that provides second-to-none protection against corrosion and abrasion. That is a must for sub-gauge fans hunting in the rough stuff, such as tight, flooded timber, northern swamps, and beaver ponds. Combine BE.S.T. with features like the Crio® flush and extended choke tubes, Crio®- treated barrels, the ComforTech™ 3 recoil mitigating stock, and the energy absorbing CombTech cheek piece, and shooters get a shotgun loaded with Benelli’s very best technologies.
The new SBE 3 BE.S.T. in 28-gauge is available in black synthetic and comes with a shim kit and hard protective case that is custom fitted to protect the gun during transport.
